POVERTY BAY CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Poverty .Bay Rowing Club was held last evening at the Cosmopolitan Chib. In reference to tbe race between Lowe’s and Stuart’s crews in tbe President’s Fours, which did not take place on account of one of Stuart’s crow,.having met with an. accident, it was decided to declare Love the winner of the trophy, and it was suggested that the two crews should have a friendly match later in the season.

A challenge to row the crew selected to represent the club in the contest for the Licensed Victuallers’ shield was received from A. Pritchard (stroke), H. Mackenzie (3), J. Newton (2), and F. Seymour (how). A meeting of the Ladies’ Committee will he held at tbe Cosmopolitan Club at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
