GISBORNE CLUB. The combined tournament in connection with the Gisborne Lawn Tennis Club took place yesterday afternoon, a great number of interesting games being got through. The following are results of the games: — First- round: Sheppard and Miss Day beat »S. Murray and Miss Murray ; Blackburn and Miss F. Biack beat Gully and Miss Crick; Alargoliouth and Miss Bright beat E. Adair and Miss AlcCredie; Barlow and Mrs. Barlow won by default from P. Adair and Miss Simpson: AY. Coleman and Miss Crawford beat Schierning and Alias Crawford. Second round: Alargoliouth and Aliss Bright beat Blackburn and Aliss F. Black: Barlow and Mrs. Barlow beat AY. Coleman and Aliss Crawford. AYHATAUPOKO CLUB. The following is the result of the first round in the ladies' handicap singles, for a trophy presented by Air. A". Barker: A Grade : Aliss N. Davis beat Airs. Carmichael: Aliss B. Black beat Aliss Bradley (60 —55); Aliss Black beat Aliss Alurray (60— 7x5) ; Aliss Coleman beat Airs. Bennett (60 —52). B. Grade: Aliss Bull beat Airs.
