Gisborne:—Barlow and Sheppard beat Margoliouth and Anderson by 8 games to 7, Gover and W. L. Coleman beat Burke .and Rees, 12—4 ; Cowan and Parlane beat Ruby and Mann, 10—7; Cover beat Anderson, ll—6; Blackburn beat Rees, 12—3; Sheppard beat Evans, 13—8; Broadhurst beat Curtis, 12—6; Cowan beat Mann, 12—5 ; Parlane beat Matthews, 9—7; Adair boat Dodgshun, 12—8; Ruby and A. T. Coleman, a draw. 1 Whataupoko were successful in the following games: —Curtis and Evans beat Blackburn and Broadliurst, 10—9 ; Dodgshun and Matthews beat A. T. Coleman and Adair, 16—12; Margoliouth beat- Barlow, 14—6; Burke beat W. L. Coleman, 11—8. -■ The match was decided on the best aggregate of games in two sets'. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies of the Whataupoko Club, Mesdames J ex-Blake and AY. G. Shcrratt presiding at the tables.
