'THE IMPRISONED CLERGYMAN. —.— COMMENDED BY PRESBYTERY. RELEASED FROM GAOL. MELBOURNE, March 16. A meeting of the Presbytery commended the Rev. Mr. Murdoch’s action and authorised him to produce the letter. [Mr. Murdoch was sent to prison for contempt of court for refusing to produce, when ordered by the Court, a letter cent to the defendant in an action by the Prebytery, of which lie is clerk.] (Received March 16, 11.58 p.m.) Mr. Murdoch was released after intimating that he was prepared to produce the documents by the authority of the Presbytery.
