There was a large attendance at the Racing Club’s unregistered ‘meeting, held on the beach on Monday afternoon. Four bookmakers wore present. Some good racing uok place, the foliowing being the results: Maiden Race, \ mile.—Silver King 1, Harper 2, Shamrock 3. Hack Race, 5 furlongs.— Puehu 1, Purakiwai 2, Dream Star 3. Ngati Race, £ mile.—Patupatu 1, Shamrock 2, Moonlight 3. Haitaketake Cup. —Puehu L, Paiakeroae 2, Blaokwater 3. PAKOWAI RACING CLUB. The Pakowai Racing Club’s Easter meeting, which was announced to have been postponed indefinitely, is now to be held on the date (Easter Saturday), April 10, fixed, at the same place as previously arranged. The course, which is about half-a-mile from the Muriwai Hotel, is in real good order. This year the committee have created further interest in the meeting by .adding a hurdle race to the programme.
