AUCKLAND. March 17. A Atarathon race was run in connection with the St. Patrick's Day sports to-day. over a distance of nearly 31 miles. There, wore 23 starters. A Rogers and L. E. Ornstein, running together. led the way for the first seven miles, when Ornsteui dropped out. Rogers ran home the winner in lhr 16 min, G. Heron being second (lhr 1/inin Ssec), and E. O. Shanaglian third in 1 hr. 17min llsec. Underwood, the fourth man, finished in lhr ISmin 1 fsec.
