A RACECOURSE FIGHT.
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. (Press Association.) NAPIER, March: 18.. A fight, .having rather serious consequences, occurred on the Park Racecourse yesterday. A man named John, Bibby, well known in connection with a buekjumpipg show, picked a quarrel with a Maori., Joe Tareluv, and'a st-andr. ■up ' fight resulted in Bibby receiving blows in the region of the heart which rendered him ui>:>orociouß'. He was removed to the' hospital where lie still lies unconscious.” Tareliu was arrested and charged at. the'Court to-day with unlawfully- assaulting Bibby, and causing actual bodily harm. - Accused was remanded till to-morrow, hail being itfused r ■' /
