DIRECTORS’ MEETING
A meeting of directors of the. Gisborne Oil Company was held on Saturday morning at the Farmers’ Club rooms. Present: Messrs W. D. Lysnar (chariman), J. Clark, Anderson, D. J. Barry, F. Hall, T. Adair, and the manager'(Mr .A .D. McDonald). The manager reported that the construction of the derrick was practically completed, and that it only required the fitting of the machinery to the derrick and the balance of the plant to be got on to the ground to enable them to start boring. The balance of the machinery was mow to hand, including a 25 li.-p. boiler which had been specially made by Messrs Luke and Sons for the work, and the necessary quantity of lOin piping, which is the size of piping that will be used to start the bore with; the only material yet to arrive is the Sin and 6n piping, hut as this will .not be requred until the lOin piping, has been put down, it should arrive in ample time. The directors allotted 894 new shares, and it was resolved that the share list would be definitely closed at the end of the present month, there being now only 406 shares still available for allotment. It was agreed to strike a call of 2s 6d per share in order to pay for the extra piping being secured in anticipation of the* road becoming- bad for traffic. ; - v ' ' ■ •.
