BRISBANE, March 22. The Wallabies returned by the Moan?.. Mr. MacMahon, manager, interviewed. said he was quite satisfied with tlio way the team had acquitted themselves. ' The defeats were largely due to the unfavorable conditions under which they played. The standard of British football had considerably miproved since the visit of the All Blacks, who caught the Britishers on the hop. The 'Wallabies were up against stronger team? and better-football all round. The Australians had little to learn from Britain in the way of football. Concerning the dispute between England and Scotland, it was caused by tear that- as the result of the large amount made by the New Zealanders professionalism would he introduced. A colonial team would be-well received within two years, but he thought an earlier visit would not be successful.
