CONNELL v. SLACK.

NAPIER. March 23. At Supreme Court to-day, Mr. Justice Edwards began the hearing oi the action of J. A. Connell v. E. A. Slack, in which the plaintiff claimed judgment, dcelaring that he had been partner with the defendant in proprietorship of the “Wairca Guardian/’ air order dissolving partnership, thetaking or partnership accounts, payment of his share of the profits of the business, and damages for his exclusion from partnership, and for alleged wrongful act of defendant in sell'ng Hie property without the authority or consent of plaintiff. It appeared from counsel’s opening statements that the plaintiff claimed a partnership in the ownership of the “Wairoa Guardian,’’ the defence being tkat Connell was never a partner, but merely an employee of Slack and others. As His Honor is otherwise engaged to-morrow, the hearing, at the rising of the Com e to-day. was adjourned' till Wednesday.
