UNEXPECTED PROSPECTS OF PEACE. CROWN PRINCE OF SKRVIA RENOUNCES CLAIM TO CROWN. United Press Association Copyright. (Received March 26, 10.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 26. Two factors have arisen suddenly, making for peace in the Balkans. Firstly, the Russians expressed readiness, as a prelude to the proposed conference, to recognise the annexation of Bosnia and Hrz.egovina; secondly, the Crown Prince of Serbia’s sudden renunciation of the Crown in favor of his younger brother and probably voluntary exile for a year. He wrote to the Premier intimating that his decision is due to unjust insinuations based upon an unfortunate occuiionce, REASON FOR THE PRINCE’S RENUNCIATION. AN ALLEGED HOMICIDE. (Received March 27, 12.2*5 a.m.) BELGRADE, March 26. The occurrence mentioned by the Crown Prince of Sc-rvia related to the death in the State hospital of one of his grooms. The Crown Prince is openly accused of homicide, of having caused the man’s death by a kick in the stomach. [The Servian Crown .Prince, George, has acquired notoriety on account of liis alleged violence of character and also by his heated denunciations of Austria. Hk brother is Prince.
