OBITUARY.
MR. WILLIAM TOMBLESONThe many friends of Mr. William Tombleson will regret to hear of his death, which occurred at his residence, Kaiti, early yesterday morning. For some weeks past Mr. Tombleson had not been feeling well, and he was taken seriously ill last Saturday week. Pneumonia set in, and on Friday he took a turn for the worse. He was, Trowevor, quite bright and cheerful on Saturday night, and hopes were entertained for his recovery. He awoke at about 1.25 o’clock on Sunday morning, and said he felt refreshed after Ms sleep, and would have another doze. He then went off to sleep again, and passed peacefully away just before 2 a.m., from heart failure. The deceased gentleman was nearly 42 years of age, and was born in Lincolnshire, England. He earn? to New Zealand a little over 20 years ago, and since that time had followed sheep£_ farming pursuits in the Poverty Bay district. He twice visited England. Mr. Tombleson leaves a widow and three children, on;, hoy and two girls, to mourn their loss. The funeral will leave his late residence. Kaiti, at 2 p.m. to-morrow, for the Makaraka eemeterv.
