WANGANUI, March 28. ; The English Court of Appeal decided . a few weeks ago that a woman who Las obtained a Police Court sepiratim frem ; her husband on the grounds of desertion, unless the desertion has lasted | more than two years before the cr&er was obtained, is for ever 'Loaned ficm obtaining a divorce, no matter" what the subsequent conduct of her husband may be. The decision is the important in divorce law ever delivered. In connection with this reject, a“Chronicle" representative interviewed; Mr. Geo. Hutchison, the well-kiiown.-barister, as to whether the __ decision would apply in New Zeala Mr.« Hutchison expressed the opinion +l*at* as New' Zealand law was based on English lav.', the ruling would held good out here.
