EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST.

WELLINGTON, March 28.

The inquest twas resumed on Saturday concerning the death of Samuel Wilson, as the result of injuries through the collapse of the roof of a building being erected for the Gear Meat Com-,' pany. at Petone. William George Lodde, engineer for ; the Gear Company, said that the braces at both ends of the builidng had been: removed without his knowledge or instructions. If they had been left in position they would haTe prevented the accident. " - ; George Duncan, . draughtsman and clerk of works, thought the accident was due to the removal of the braces. The inquest was further adjourned till Tuesday.
