WHATAUPOKO CLUB. Despite the unpromising state of the weather, there was a good muster oi: players at the Whataupoko courts on Saturday afternoon, when a number of practice games were played. A number of matches have still to 1)0 plaved in the both the A and B grade in the' Ladies Handicap Singles competition. The committee have decided that these games must be got off during this week, in s ordcr that the finals may be played on Saturday next. The final for the Men’s Handicap Singies wijl^ils.Q-drejblavcd.-b.it_Safnr dn-rr^L
meets E. G. Matthews (50), and an interesting game should result. The winner becomes the possessor of a bandsome trophy presented by Mr. W. B. Barker, president of the club.
