HIS MAGESTY’S THEATRE.

N RE-OPENING TO-NIGHT. Meynell and Gunn’s Dramatic Company "will inaugurate a brief season of drama to-night, when will be staged for the first time 'in Gisborne an entirely new Australian drama, entitled “A Miner’s Trust.” .The principals are well-known to Gisborne theatregoers, and include such artists are Miss Beatrice Holloway, Miss Lillian Meyers, Miss Alice Deorwyn, Miss Mabel Russell, Mr. Herbert Bentley, Mr. C. It. Stanford, Mr. J. B. Athol wood, Mr Leo Do Chateau, and Mr. Harry Halley. The scene is laid in Australia, the particular portion being Bendigo in the early days, and affords the scenic artist (Mr. Edward' Vaughan) ample opportunity for many striking stage pictures, one ill particular, that of the wreck of the s.s. Goulburn, being reported to be especially fine, while the saving of the hero by means of the Coastguardsmen s rocket apparatus should make a most realistic scene. Miss Beatrice Holloway is cast as Alice * Medway; Mr Herbert Bentley as Alan Trengrove; Miss Lillian Meyers as Ida Medway; and Mr. J B Atliolwood as Gaspard Le Rouge. To-morrow night the company present “Two Little Sailor Boys,” by Walter Howard, who wrote “Her Love Againfst the World,” and “The Midnight Wedding,” which, were staged in Gisborne by the Hareourt Beatty-Mclntosh Company. On Friday they present “Ihe Little Breadwinner,” and on Saturday “The Stepmother.”
