PRISONS DEPARTMENT.
RETIREMENT OF OFFICERS. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 3. In the Prisons Department the tollowino- officers will retire: LieutenantColonel Hume (inspector); gaolers Clearv (Lyttelton), Bratley (Dunedin), Armstrong (Wellington), Flannery (Napier) • and Warders Chilton (Dunedin) and Nicholson (Lyttelton). The following new appointments have been made: Dr Hav, Inspector of Prisons; Gaoler Millington, New Plymouth, to be gaoler at Wellington; Gaoler Ironside, Hokitika, to be gaoler at Lyttelton; Gaoler Scanlon. Wanganui, to be gaoler at Dunedin; Chief Warder Coyle, Wellington, to be gaoler and manager of reformatory t prison at New Plymouth; Chief Warder Gideon, Auckland, to be gaoler at Napier; Principal Warder Glover. Dunedin,, to be chief warder at Dunedin; Principal Warder Blatchford, Lyttelton, to be chief warder at Wellington-; Principal Warder Hawkins, New Plymouth, to be chief warder at Lvttelton.
