PARIS, April -5. ' A proposal by.tlie Premier (M. Cleineneeau) to legalise Civil Servants’ Associations, but. denying the right to strike, led to a great protest meeting in Paris. Many postal and other State servants are fraternising with the revolutionary Confederation of Labor. Many -subversive speeches were delivered, and a secret mixed committee. of twelve, representing civil servants and ordinary trade unionists was formed to organise a general strike, with the view of.compelling Parliament to yield to the ex- ■ treme demands of the civil servants.
