I;///',; A letter was received from the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, intimating that ' tlie Union .would agree to accept 25 per cent of the net proceeds of the gates taken by the Association at the Auckland matches, instead of_ 50 per cent oJLjtlie takings as stipulated .in the lease. ' It was decided to reply thanking the Rugby Union for their generous- reduction. j ‘ . , , . ~ Arrangements were completed for the reception of the Auckland team, which arrives, per YVinimera-; to-day. All details in connection with the matches against the Auckland team on Tlnnsday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday next, and against the AYaibohu Club on Friday were also arranged. It was decided to charge 6d admission to the matches on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and Is each day for admission to the representative match against Auckland on Monday And luesday next. . . The appointment of umpires was left until after the special general meeting of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, which is to be held at the British Empire Hotel at 8 o'clock this evening.
