■ K A ITU-CITY- CLUB. . . -ANNUAL MEETING), The annual meeting of the members of- ihe Kaifi-City -/Football : Club was held ln?t' nrzhfc in-the Royal Hotel. Air. J. Jr Martin .occupied-/the chair, and there was a i: fairiv ‘large attendance of members. . ‘ The secretary (Mr, J, A. Eaton) read the annual report and balance-sheet, which were adopted, on the motion of Air. Grinlinton,. seconded by Air. B. Lowe. The: report reierred- to the; success achieved by the three teams representing the club in winning the triple championship,, and congratulated members upon the position: in which the club stood. The balance-sheet showed receipts to be £34 19s lOcl, and an expenditure of £25 13s, leaving the satisfactory credit balance of £9 16s lOd. The secretary read a notice from the secretary of the Poverty. Bay Rugby Union stating that the district scheme of football had been'abolished, and that it was proposed to substitute a club system.. - ' After some discussion, it was decided t-o form a new club,, to be called, the •Kaiti-City Club, and;to adopt the colors and the by-laws. of. the olcl club. A motion that the name of -the new body be the Turanganui Football Club was;defeated by a large majority. - Tlie election of office-bearers'in the new club resulted as follows: —Patron, Air. D. J. Barry; president, Air. H. E. Alaudo; vice-presidents, Messrs R. S. Chilton, AV/: F. Cederwall, AY. D. Lvsnar, C. "Morse, M; Segedin, J. P. AVilliams. J. AAL Bright, F.. Harris, AY. V. illler, R. Johnston, J. A, Lucas, and T. G. Lawless; club. Captain, Air. J. J. i'aftin; field captain, Air. G. Roh e ; ■committee, Messrs AY; Johnston, Grin-' linton, B. Lowe. R. Alorse, 11. M. Puflett, AY. Hay,. C. Stagpoole; delegates to Poverty Bay 'Rugby Union, Messrs H. E. Monde'and J.; A. -Eaton; vice-president of Povery . Bay Rugby Union, A:lr. J..J. Martin ; secretary and treasurer,;Mr. J. A. Eaton : auditors, Alessrs AV. Johnston and H, M. Pnllett.; selection committee, field captain, clubcaptain, anddeputy-captaiii. The. election of a deputy-captain was "left to the members of the first fifteen. A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the meeting.
