THE DAVIS CUP. Unithd Prkss Association —Copyuksht - (Received April 8, 12.-17 a.m.) MELBOURNE, April 7. i 'l'lie Tenuis Association of Victoria has decided to concede to New Zealand a separate Council, independent of the Australasian Association, for the purpose of arranging and managing the international contests for the Davss Cup, played in Australia or New Zealand. The profits of these matches are to he reserved exclusively for international teams’ purposes. ; The claim of the New Zealand -Association for equal representation with the six States of Australia on the suggested _ new Council was not approved,' but it was agreed that the number of delegates he on a proportional basis calculated on the population of the respective States and the Dominion.
