At the inquest on Salmon, his daughter, who had been arrested on, a charge of murder, deposed that her father threatened to kill her mother because she refused to -Make some medicine which he wished to give her. He followed her out to the kitchen. Witness ,shortly after, hearing her mother scream for help, got a revolver, ana found her father holding her mother by the throat. She then shot him. A verdict of justifiable homicide was returned.
