THE NEW ALPINE MINE. (Special to “Times. ’) GPLYMOUTH, April 9. The New Alpine Mine reports the following progress at the mine for tlie week ending the Gth April, ' , Since driving was restarted m No. 14 level the north end has been extorted sixteen feet, making the citd footage of the crosscut 65 feet, t'no reef i.as been regular in width and measures 9 feet at the top end and G leet b inches ut the floor. We have taken the stone out full width and, on account cl a smooth, .greasy head m the ;eel. ti e height of the ground taken out has been about 9 feet, thus making progress slow. In No. 2 Mope the rout has rangled from 6 toot to 8 loot m width.
