FIRES.
UNOCCUPIED HOTEL ABLAZE. [Pep. Pp.ess Association.] NELSON, April 12. A fire broke out last night in a largo wooden unoccupied building known as Windsor Castle Hotel. Although the adjacent premises were in danger for some time the fire was suppressed before extensive damage was done. SEVEN-ROOMED HOUSE DESTROYED. ASHBURTON, April 11. A seven-roomed house in Hampstead, owned and occupied by William Harvey was, with contents, totally destroyed by fire at one o’clock this morning, during the absence of the occupants. There is no clue as to the origin. The house was insured for £345 in the Liverpool, London and Globe office and it is understood that the furniture was covered in the ■ State office, but the particulars are unobtainable.
