DEFENCE MATTERS
There must be thousands of drilled men in New Zealand with some knowledge of shooting, who need only an occasional drill and some rifle practice to be as useful .members of the Defence Force as they were in their younger days. They might not be so active as of yore,- but on the other hand they would better recognise the necessity and value of discipline. There is something wrong in, a defence system that has no place or use for men of this description, many of whom would no doubt be willing, and some of whom arc anxious to serve their country.
