STAR FOOTBALL CLUB
The annual meeting of the Star Football Club was held at the British Empire Hotel last evening. Air. L. 0. Ingram occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance.
The annual report and halanee-fdieet showed that the receipts during the year had been £3 15s, and the expenditure £4 13s 3d, leaving a debit balance of 18s 3d. The club membership totalled 45, eleven games'had besn "played, seven of which had been won. Air. R. Wilkinson offered to meet the debit balance, but the dub decided to carry the amount forward, and the report was adopted. The following officers were elected: — Patron, the Alayor, Air. AV. D. Lysnar; president, Air. L. O. Ingram; vicepresidents, Alessrs R. S. Chilton, E. P. Joyce, J. F. Pcttie, F. Harris, H. J. Grieve, and R. Johnson; lion, secretary. Mr. R. AVilkinson; captain, Air. A. P. Kaipara; vice-captain, Air. 0. Davis; delegates to the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, Alessrs L. 0. Ingram and R. Wilkinson; management committee, the captain, vice-captain, Alessrs Nicholas, Ferguson, and AVilkinson ; selection committee, Alessrs Kaipara, Davis, and Newton. The subscription was fixed at os, and it was decided to obtain six jerseys for emergency players. Sixteen new members were elected, and the meeting closed.
