The following were the results of the racing: —• Second Hurdle Race, about 2 miles. —Yarrabundie 1, . Rydo 2, Old Chappie 3. Won by three lengths. All-aged Stakes, 1 mile.—Montcalm 1, Hyman 2, Maltine 3. Time, lmin 37i|sec. Easter Stakes, 7 furlongs.—By-Play 1, Danilo 2, Pat-ronatus 3. Won by four lengths. Time, lmin 261 sec. Cumberland Stakes, 2 miles. —Lord Nolan 1. Neith 2, Trafalgar 3. The only starters. . Won by half-a-length. Time, 3min 34lsec. _ A protest was entered on behalf of Neith, and was subsequently upheld. Lord Nolan is therefore unplaced. City Handicap, 1 mile 5 furlongs.— Lord Wallace 1, Adriatic 2, Footpad 3. Won by a neck. -Time, 2nun 482 sec. MURIWAI MAORI RACES. The Aluriwai Maori Racing Club’s Easter meeting' was held on the PakoAvhai racecourse yesterday. There was only a small attendance,. and there was more than one “trier” in the various races. That, however, was not an unmixed blessing, for it: gave rise to complaints of a great deal of foul riding -and unseemly rows after each race was over. The officials of the club seemed powerless to control some of the people interested in various horses, and it was almost dark before the add in the last event was sent oft.
