GISBORNE CLUB. The green of the. Gisborne Bowling Club was in capital playing order on Saturday, and there was a good muster of players thereon. The results of the most interesting games were as follows : Ambridge, Redstone, Lucas, TV. Pettie (skip), 16, beat Harris, J. F. Pettie, Paltridge, Birss (skip) 13. TVootton, Hookey, J. J. Martin, Ponsford (skip) 28, beat Ivy me, Pavitt, Bright, F. A. Alai tin (skip) 21. TURANGANci CLUB. At the Turanganui Chib’s green on Saturday there was a splendid muster of players, four rinks being occupied. The green was in excellent order, running keen and true. Amongst the. games played were two matches commencing the second, round of the Handicap Singles. Tho result was : B. Hire! (2) 27, beat H. Martin (10) 10.—This was a rnn-awny gfime. for Hird, who was 13 to Alartin’s 5 on the 10th head, and 27 to 8 on the final head. AZartin receiving a handicap of 8 points, was thus defeated by 11 points. A. Zachariali (5) beat J. P. Williams (5) 21.—Williams obtained the lead, and on tho 10th head was 13 to 6, increasing his lead to 9 (19 —10) on the 14th head. From thence onward Zachariah scored repeatedly, until on the 19th head he drew level —20 all. The next head e,aw Williams put on one, and Zachariali replied with a single on the next head, the 21st, thus making a tie—2l all. An extra head was played, wherein -Zachariali secured 2 and got the game.
