THE AUCKLAND TEAM
Mr H. G. Rose, lion, secretary of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, received the following communication yesterday from Mr A. M. Howdeh, the captain of the Auckland team which visited Gisborne at Easter time:—“On behalf of the Auckland team which recently visited 'your town, I wish to take this opportunity of thanking you, your committee, and players, for the generous hospitality extended to us. Your arrangements were excellent, the matches most enjoyable, and altogether the team are unanimous in declaring their late trip to be the most enjoyable ever experienced by them.”
