‘•THE DOWN EXPRESS.” The final rehearsal for the ahoy piece was held at His Majesty's Theat: last evening, when Mr. R. H. Clai expressed himself perfectly satisfh with the manner in which the perform ors rehearsed tlicir parts. The music programme, comprising special son{ by the Misses Nicholas and Master • Tate, was also rehearsed in a very isa isfnetovy manner. The ladies’ - dress have been specially procured for tl occasion, and are very handsome, esu lady having several changes of costun for the piece. The plot is a very stj ring one, and has a broad vein of m mour running through it. The orem tral selections are in. the capable ban of Mr. M. L. Foster, Mr. Strong re doling tko_ incidental music. It is a tid pa tod that there will bo a Jan house for the production, as it ia bev worked for very diligently by the k* borne City Band, for whose funus|.;it being carried out. The bon ptafc now open at Mr. Miller’s.
