Wc affirm that neither at Auckland nor at Wellington, neither at Christchurch nor at Dunedin, would a body of officials have dared ±6 flout the susceptibilities of an important section ,by holding a regatta on the Day of Rest, It seems to us, therefore, that the action of those upon whom rests the responsibility for tho holding of a regatta at Queenstown on Easter Day merits severe condemnation. Wc nope the New Zealand Rowing Association will take cognisance of the dreumitances, and that it will so arrange that there shall be no reoccurrence ot the •scandal with which the memory ot the Queenstown, regatta of 1909 must be associated.— -"Otago Daily limes.
