SEALED PAN SYSTEM.

A TENDER ACCEPTED

A special meeting of the Borough Council was held yesterday afternoon to accept a tender for the supply oi 2000 sealed nans. There were present: The Mayor‘(Mr. W. D. Lysnar), Crs. Williams, Dart-on, and Sawyer. The samples were carefully examined, and after a little discussion the tender of Mr. J. H. Warren. Gisborne, at -is 4<l for pans and os Cd for lids and rubbers was accepted. The Council also decided to experiment with Waikanae shingle for topdressing with tar on the Peel Street crossing.
