A WHARF LABORER’S DEATH

[Per Press Association.]

WELLINGTON, April 23. An inquest on John JHislop, wharf laborer, who fell into the harbor last night and died later in the hospital, was held to-day. The medical evidence showed that deceased suffered from the effects of the immersion and of . alcoholism. Death was due to water in the lungs interfering with breathing. A verdict was returned in accoidance with the medical testimony.
