NEW YORK, April 23
Twenty miles of ice, from 20 to 70ft thick, is piled on Niagara river. Engineers are attempting to dynamite the ice to prevent an overflow swamping Lewiston, Queenstono, Youngstown, and Niagara, on the lake.
