SYDNEY, April 27. The Council of the Lawn Tennis Association discussed at great length the proposals relating to the management of the Davis Cup matches in Australasia. The following resolution© wero carried-“ That the meeting bo adjourned to: a later date; that this Association .is agreeable to the appointment of a separate council representing the States of the Commonwealth and New Zealand for the purpose of arranging the sanctioning or controlling of international matches; that the number of delegates to such Council shall be oi®>a proportional basis, cal cat a ted on the respective populations,, whilst Australia, with New Zeaalnd, will bo regarded for the purposes of such contests as a separate nation; that the profits be reserved for international matches; in the event of any alteration oi the regulations for the international lawn tennis championship so as to constitute New- Zealand a separate nation, no such alteration should' become operative

wliilo A ustralasia remains as at present a champion nation, and nothing should affect the present position of the Australasian Association as the organisation of a champion nation; that the .regulations governing/ such Council be agreed on by tho Australasian Association and the New Zealand Association. Gordon (New South Wales), 6—2, 6—2; Misses Pay ten and Jones beat Misses Ward and Wellwood, 4—6, G—4, 6—3. . In the Singles Handicap Misses Nunnclly and Powdrell Avon their games.
