ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE.
—— —— SYDNEY RECORDS. SEVERE TREMORS. (Received April 29, 10 p.m.) SYDNEY, April .29. A very severe earth tremor was registered at the Observatory shortly before- midnight on April 2/th, proceeded by two smaller tremors. The maximum -amplitude was 15.8 milimetres. The large waves continued for nearly ‘five minutes, some of the series of succeeding waves reaching,..6 milimetres. The epicentrum of the earthquake was <2OOO or 3000 miles north from -ydney probably in the seisemic zone embiucii)rr the Philippines and the suirouni"* mg islands.
