GISBORNE CLUB. A considerable number of members of the Gisborne Bowling Club assembled on their green on Saturday -afternoon, and some interesting games were pla} 7 - ed. The following was the result of the principal matches : Kyme, W. Pettie, Ambridge, Ifwerson (skip) 25, beat Wootton, Pavitt, Corson, Bright (skip) 21. T. Clarkson.HPaltridge, Simeon (skip) 24, beat Dodds] Benzie, Poiisford (skip) 19. TURANGANUI CLUB. * Owing to the broken weather the match committee of the Turanganui Club have resolved not to commence the competition for the Douglas Challenge Feathers, but to hold the Feathers for next season’s play. All unplayed games in the second round of tlio Handicap Singles are to be completed by Thursday next or forfeited, in order to get the competition finished at an early date. The Bennett Cup Singles are to bo completed by May 24th, when the winner will be declared. The final of the Colts’ Singles is alsoto be played by the "same date, as it is not at all unlikely that the green wiff’bo closed after Empire Day (May 24th).
