The Government, in anticipation of the enactment of the new tariff law, has notified Britain, Germany, France, and six other countries that the special tariff agreement will shortly be abrogated. LONDON, May 3. The “Times” New York correspondent states that President Taft considers it the duty of Congress to revise the tariff downwards. He is convinced that the consumer is not being fairly treated under the proposals now being discussed. • -
