WESLEY CHURCH.
A SUCCESSFUL CONCERT.
Despite the torrents of rain that fell just, prior to S p-.-m. last evening, the seating accommodation of the Wesley Church was fully taxed on the occasion of the concert given in aid of the choir fluid. Songs were given by AJesdames Johnston Brown and Bignoli and'.Messrs R. AYiikinson, Johnston Brown, and H. AlcClymont. A male quartette consisting of Alessrs Holmes, Everess, Don, and Bn lock gave an enjoyable .unaccompanied item, and Airs. T. Clarkson, and Air. Johnston Brown contributed recitations. Not- the least enjoyable portions of the nrogrnmmo were those, devoted to the choir, who sang three choruses, and an excellent orchestra, under Air. Al. L. Foster, accompanied them, and also contributed a couple of separate items. The accompaniments, were tastefully played by Airs. At. I/„ Foster and Alessrs St rang and C. J. East, and, at the conclusion of a most successful entertainment refreshments were, handed round in the schoolroom.
