Lord Lyttelton, at the Primrose League meeting, at London, referring to Mr Asquith’s invitation to the conference of colonial representatives to discuss the defence of the Empire, said he hoped the colonial ships, would be made part of the system, united under one supreme control in war time, rendering the Empire’s sea power irresistible. i
