"" GISBORNE CLUB. -There was a fairly numerous: muster of members of the Gisborne Club on, their green on Saturday, and those present had some enjoyable play. . The principal games were the following: Ivyme. Paltridge, Ambridge, Bright (skip) 22, beat Boulton, Pavitt, Beuzie; Ponsford (skip) 18; J. F.- PetUe and Johnston 18, beat Redstono and Dodds LI. TURANGANUI CLUB, At the Tnranganui Club’s green on Saturday afternoon there was a fair attendance of players. The green was slightly better to that of the previous Thursday, but was not in anything like good condition. Several games avere played, and the third round, in the Handicap Singles was commenced. The result of the match game was: W. • Ratcliffe (4) .25 beat W. H. Douglas (7) 10.—Right from the start Ratcliffe took the lead, and was never troubled. The final head played showed Ratcliffe a winner by 15 points, Doug’as’ handicap of 3 being of no avail to him.
