■ V.... id PARIS, May 9. The Disciplinary Council of Parris dismissed eight postal officials. Strenuous precautions are being taken to prevent disorganisation in the event of a strike. Many soldiers and cyclists are in readiness to deliver letters. There are 10,000 trained pigeons in Paris, and 100,000 in the provinces. > The Railwaymen’s Union voted in favor of a general strike unless Parliament passes the Old Age Pensions Bill ? and also supported the post office employes. Meanwhile the Government initiated the precaution to dissolve the postal servants’ illegal union. .— — " • \ (Received May 10, 10.45 p.m.) PARIS, May 10. . French warships have been ordered to take up a position along the coast fin order to maintain communications in the event of a telegraphic ,strike. Bluejackets on leave have been recalled.
