CHRISTCHURCH. May'llMr. H. W. Bishop, 5.M... left Christchurch for Hanmor to-day. to hold an enquiry into the discipline maintained at the orison camp. Mr. W. C- Kensington, Under-Secre-tary for Lands, and Mr. :,E. C. HoldSmith, Commissioner of Crown Lands for Canterbury, went to Hanmer today to report on the progress of the plantations. It is understood that the future of the work, and whether the plantations shall be extended or not, will depend on the report of the officers mentioned.
