CHARGE OF BIGAMY.

A NORSEWOOD CASE. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, May 11. James A. Crooks was remanded at the Police Court to-day on a charge of bigamy to appear at Dannevirke -on the 19th. It is alleged that accused was first married at Norsewood, where he deserted his 'wife some eight or nine years ago. Inquiries have been continually instituted for him, and he was at length located at Waimangaroa, near Granity. West Coast, where lie was found living with a second wife, whom, it is alleged, lie married some four or five yeans ago.
