TO-DAY’S MATCHES
The Thursday competition will be continued on Victoria Domain this afternoon, when the Gisborne Club’s team will 1 play the Star Club’s representatives at 1.45 p.m., and the teams of the City and Alhambra Clubs will try conclusions at 3 p.m. The Gisborne Club team to meet the Star Football Club to-day will _ be chosen from the following: Harrison, Delaney, Morse, Scott, Lyons, Seymour, Brown, West, Henderson (2), Kelly, Gibson, Neill, Pollock, Campbell Pirie, Roache, Blake, Swain, Ryan, Blewden, andrMcLaehlan. Players are requested to be on tho ground at 1.30 sharp. , .. The City football team to play Alhambra this afternoon will be picked from the following: M. Doyle, Huston, S. Roderick, Malloy, Tocher, Witty, Grinlinton, H. Puilett, E. Roderick, O’Neil, Bragge, McLean, Smith, Divyer, and Bright; emergency, Breen. Tlie team to represent Alhambra will be- chosen from the following: Oman, Atkinson, Casley, Craig .(2), F. Pilcher,. W Williams, J. McConnell, Houston, Lamont, Popple, Olsen, Peterson, Guides. Muldoon, Stevens, Hobbms, and Marlow.
At a meeting of the, Referees’ Association held last night, the following; were selected to officiate in the matches this week: —Thursday: Star v. Gisborne, Mr. Pritchard; City v. Alhambra, Mr. M. Osborne. Saturday: United v. Y.M.C.A., Mr. W. Howard; Y.M.C.A. 11. v. Kaiti-City II.: Mr. L. Williams.
