ADDINGTON WORKSHOPS 15NQWIRY.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 12. The Hon. J. A. Millar, Minister for Railways, stated to a reporter yesterday that he had received the report of the Addington Workshops Commission. The report will be submitted to tho Cabinet, which will decide whether the contents shall be made public at once or alter the document has been presented to Parliament. The Minister visited the workshops this afternoon. THE CHRISTCHURCH ASSAULT CASE. As the outcome of The recent assault case in Creyke Street, which was characterised by much violence and brutality two young men, William Nicolls and * William Cotter , wore charged at the Magistrate’s Court this morning with having on May sth robbed Sarah Pal loon of the sum of £2, and used personal violence towards her. Ihe accused both pleaded not guilty, and were, committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed. MR. T. E. DONNE. Mr T. E. Domic, until recently, general manager of the tourist and health resorts, passed through tills city to-day en route for England.
