The “Daily Mail’s” Salonika correspondent reports that Talaato Bey, Vice-President of the Chambers, secured Abdul Hamid’s signature to the withdrawal of funds from the foreign banks. Some reports mention the transfer of two million pounds. Talaato Bey failed to obtain the. keys of two strongrooms at Yildiz. Officers guarding the residence at Salonika thereupon compelled Abdul Hamid to surrender the keys.
