United Press Association— Copyright

MELBOURNE, May 14

Inquiries show that about 1903 several thousand discarded Martini rifles were sold at auction. They were purchased by a Melbourne firm, and in 1906 between 8000 and 9000 were sold to Greeners, of England, a firm of gun-makers.
