Advices have been received that representatives of the Admiralty, Lloyds, and the London fire brigades witnessed a satisfactory trial of a fire extinguisher invented by Dr. Harker, of Sydney. The process consists in using waste gases from the uptake of a vessel s boiler for fire extinguishing and fumigation purposes. After successful trials at Sydney, Dr. Harker proceeded Co London.
