CHIEF OF POLICE KILLED. ASSASSINS ARRESTED. United Press Association— Copyright ST. PETERSBURG, May 17. Two Polish terrorists killed the chief of police at Lublin, and shot three pc; 1 icemen. Both assassins were arrested. [Lublin is a town in Poland, 96 miles south-east of 11 amuv.] PRISON HORRORS. OVERCROWDING, SICKNESS, AND ILL-TREATMENT. Social Democrats arc complaining in -flic Duma of the horrors of the prisons at Orel, Moscow, Tillis, Sevastopol, and Ekaterinolav. The latter, with- accommodation for 280, contains 1200, of whom 192 are suffering from typhoid, vet their chains are not removed.
